PAUL GEORGE EXHIBITS @ RNG

Rocky Neck Gallery’s next Summer Artist Series exhibition features new paintings by the award-winning artist Paul George.  The show opens this Thursday, August 9th, and runs until Tuesday, August 28th.

Among the many awards Paul George’s paintings have received are the National Watercolor Society’s Winsor & Newton Award for Excellence in Watercolor and the New England Watercolor Society’s Gold Medal.  His painting, Winterblues, was accepted by the American Watercolor Society for their 133rd exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in New York City.  His work can be found in many private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe.

George is also a popular teacher conducting workshops in oil and watercolors on Cape Ann, MA, Monhegan Island, ME and in Florida since 1996.

He was born in Cambridge, MA. and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University. After attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston; he changed careers and studied with award-winning artists: Don Stone, William “Skip” Lawrence, Jeanne Dobie, and Robert Wade.

He is an active member of the New England Watercolor Society, Cape Cod Art Association, North Shore Art Association and is the former vice-president of the Rockport Art Association.  He recently opened the George Gallery at 77 Rocky Neck Avenue, Gloucester.
