Sue Daly is the featured artist this week for Rocky Neck Gallery’s big work wall.  Her painting, Poppies, is a watercolor measuring 39"H x 31"W framed and is $750.
When asked what inspired this work she replied, “I was inspired to paint the poppies in a more abstract fashion after doing a series of realistic ones.”
A New England native, Daly received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. She has taught art in grades 1 through 8, adult education, senior citizens groups and workshops at various art associations.
Daly works in watermedia and is also a printmaker.  She has studied with many renowned artists through the years.  An avid traveler, Daly often paints the exotic and the ordinary subjects she discovers in her journeys.
